Documental audiovisual realizado por la Asociación Manekenk con fondos aportados por el Ministerio de Cultura de la Nación a través del programa Puntos de Cultura.
Esta obra audiovisual, que tiene como objetivo retratar el valor y la importancia patrimonial del sector de costa del Onashaga (Canal Beagle) conocido como Estancia Túnel, cuenta con el testimonio de destacados y destacadas profesionales de diversas disciplinas, como así también el relato de los pueblos originarios, cuyos ancestros habitan las costas del canal desde hace más de 7000 años, y de las familias fueguinas que desde principios del siglo XX han desarrollado diversas actividades productivas en la región.
Este documental audiovisual constituye el primer material que presenta de forma accesible la historia del territorio, y las características ambientales, sociales y culturales que lo hacen único y que justifican su preservación.
Documental film which aims to portray the value and heritage importance of the coastal sector of the Onashaga (Beagle Channel) known as Estancia Túnel, has the testimony of prominent and outstanding professionals from various disciplines, as well as the account of the native peoples, whose ancestors have inhabited the shores of the channel for more than 7000 years, and the families of Tierra del Fuego who, since the beginning of the 20th century, have developed various productive activities in the region.
This audiovisual documentary is the first material that present in an accessible way the history of the territory, and the environmental, social and cultural characteristics that make it unique and that justify its preservation.
